One of the highlights if our very busy term has been the day of African drumming and dance enjoyed by the Reception and Nursery class. They invited the children from Yardley Hastings Reception and Nursery class to join them for the day as both schools are learning about Africa this term. During the morning, the children made new friends while learning to play the African drums and they collaborated to create African artwork and necklaces. Over lunchtime, the children picnicked together and then the Yardley Hastings children enjoyed exploring the playground with their new Denton friends showing them around. In the afternoon, all sixty children learnt a very fast African dance. At the end of this busy and fun day, the children were very excited to perform their newly learnt skills to their parents. Everyone is very much looking forward to the next joint adventure!
