Welcome To Denton Primary School

Denton Primary is a small rural primary school in an attractive Northamptonshire village with around 120 pupils aged between 3 and 11. We are only 6 miles from Northampton but are able to take full advantage of our lovely country environment to enrich our outstanding curriculum.

We challenge our children to achieve their full potential as well as providing a caring and nurturing family atmosphere. It is very important to us that children are happy, emotionally secure and enjoy coming to school. We teach a broad and balanced, progressive curriculum through which each child has the opportunity to fully develop their individual talents.

Within our Early Years class, we offer Nursery provision places to children from the term after their third birthday. We are also able to offer both before and after school care from 8.00am until 5.30pm for our pupils, and a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, including exciting off-site visits and two residential trips in Key Stage 2.

I hope you enjoy browsing our website to find out more about our school and what we do and if you would like to visit our school I would be delighted to show you around. Please get in touch via our Contact Us page.

With best wishes - Louise Brown

Our Aims and Intent

To provide a learning environment where children are happy, emotionally secure and enjoy coming to school.

To teach a broad and balanced, progressive curriculum through which each child has the opportunity to fully develop their individual talents.

To develop resilience, empathy, self-confidence and independence.

To promote aspirational values and have a wider understanding of the world beyond their local communities.

To teach the skills to prepare children for the next stage in their education and support lifelong learning.

Comments from Parents' Questionnaire 2022

"My son has been supported closely and diligently within the constrains of a very mixed ability class. His teacher is excellent, she is passionate, creative, patient and very skilled.  I know I can speak with her and will get a fair, balanced and accurate progress report."

"She was very interested in Water Week and shared some facts with us. She also enjoys learning about education around the world"

"My child really enjoys the homework given in reception and they provide nice ideas for activities that the family can do as a whole."
